I do not know about you but I feel that I am entitled to be in charge of my life without any interferences.

This is My Garden

As I was walking home from the grocery store, I was thinking of the people that like to oppress and judge me for wanting to be who I am.

I came up with this comparison.

We are all gardeners and we are responsible for only the garden that we were given.

We can choose to grow flowers of love or thorns of hatefulness.

What a wonderful world it would be if we took time to reflect on these common sense facts.

Learn to love yourself first; you are ultimately only responsible for yourself and therefore only have control over yourself, judging others will only lead to bitterness, enjoy after all you only have one life to live.

This decision begins with the relationship with your self.

If we do not love ourselves, we cannot give or receive love.

God made us all unique, not one of us is the same.

Know your self and love your self.

In each of us there are strengths and weakness, to add to the overall beauty of the garden.

The strengths are the flowers that blossom with tender loving care and that add fragrance to the air to share with others.

Be aware that there are weeds and insects in the garden as well.

These are the weaknesses that are found in any garden.

They are present to keep the gardener humble as well as alert.

Feel comfortable knowing that you also have weaknesses.

The weakness will allow you to empathize with the mistakes of a fellow gardener.

Your mistakes may be different in nature but after all they are still errors.

Pluck your own garden or your garden will begin to grow weeds.

Often times I see people trying to weed someone else’s garden.

This takes away from their beauty and their garden begins to grow unmanageable weeds.

My belief is that God made us all unique because we all have something special to offer to the world.

If your brother or sister acts, dresses or speaks differently than you, this does not mean you are better than he or she.

Life is not black and white, that is why God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell within us.

The Holy Spirit will be our guide we just have to listen to Him and He will guide us.

Also, it is not your job or anyone’s job to control or judge another brother or sister in Christ.

Pray and love your brother and sister in Christ unconditionally instead of trying to take over him or her.

Enjoy life after all you only have one life to live.
